1. A system that uses data indicating a current physiology and movement speed of a user to select music to assist the user to achieve a desired exercise performance level, comprising:

  • a computing device, comprising;

    a data receiver to receive the data indicating the current physiology and movement speed of the user;

    a computing module to compare previously stored data of the user'"'"'s pace and associated music and the data indicating the current physiology and movement speed of the user against a desired physiology and movement speed provided by the user to select a music piece matching the associated music in at least one of average energy, variance in energy, beat or volume to assist the user achieve the desired physiology and movement speed;

    a media player, in communication with the computing module, to reproduce the music piece to the user; and

    a log database to store the data indicating the current physiology and movement speed of the user and the music piece.
