1. A method of creating a synthetic bridge, comprising the steps of:

  • logically extracting first data from an application layer of one or more first data streams of a first network, said first data to be transported to a second network;

    logically extracting second data from an application layer of one or more second data streams of the second network, said second data to be transported to the first network; and

    transporting said first and second data of the two or more first and second data streams over separate sets of non-network media link interfaces that only allow for limited information encoding and inherently prevent any network protocol information from being added with said first and second data of the two or more first and second data streams until after the two or more first and second data streams are in the control of the opposite network from which they were transported.
