Method, apparatus, and computer program products for adapting a transmission setting
First Claim
1. A method for adapting at least one transmission setting to be applied by a first transceiver for communications in a predetermined frequency band in response to communication by a second transceiver that communicates in the predetermined frequency band, the method comprising:
- determining whether prioritized data traffic is to be communicated by the second transceiver; and
in response to determining that prioritized data traffic is to be communicated by the second transceiver, adapting the transmission setting applied to the first transceiver in response to a duty cycle of the prioritized data traffic;
wherein adapting the transmission setting applied to the first transceiver further comprises adapting a maximum allowable size of a data payload of a data frame to be transmitted by the first transceiver in response to determining that prioritized data traffic is to be communicated by the second transceiver, andwherein adapting a maximum allowable size of data payload of a data frame to be transmitted by the first transceiver comprises adapting the maximum allowable size so that a frame exchange duration of the first transceiver does not exceed an inactive time period of the second transceiver.

Abstract
Method, wireless communication apparatus, and computer program products are provided for adapting at least one transmission setting to be applied by a first transceiver, which is adapted to be operative in a predetermined frequency band, in response to communication by a second transceiver, which is adapted to be operative in the predetermined frequency band. It is determined whether prioritized data traffic is communicated by the second transceiver. If prioritized data traffic is communicated by the second transceiver, the transmission setting is adapted in dependence of the prioritized data traffic.
