1. A wireless communications system, comprising:

  • a master apparatus having a memory to store program information and data information,a processor in communication with said memory to form a first message and receive a second message, said first message transmitted from a transceiver in communication with said processor, and said second message received by said transceiver;

    at least one remote device having a remote memory to store program information and data information, a remote processor in communication with said remote memory to form a fourth message and receive a third message, said fourth message transmitted and said third message received by a remote transceiver in communication with said remote processor, and to transmit and receive said fourth and third messages respectively; and

    at least one repeater having a repeater memory to store program information and data, a repeater processor in communication with said repeater memory to form said third message and receive said first message, said third transmitted message transmitted and said first message received by a repeater transceiver in communication with said repeater processor and to transmit and receive messages,wherein each of said messages includes a control field and a plurality of information fields, said control field having a plurality of control bits including at least a first control bit indicative of whether data is contained in an information field and at least a second control bit indicative of a direction of transmission for said message;

    wherein said repeater processor determines if said first message is to be re-transmitted as said third message based on information contained in said control field of said first message.
