1. An inkjet printhead having a plurality of nozzle arrangements each comprising:
- a wafer substrate defining a nozzle and an ink chamber underneath the nozzle with an ink supply channel leading to said chamber;
a paddle arranged in the chamber; and
an actuator positioned on the substrate and configured to actuate the paddle to eject ink from the nozzle, wherein the actuator and nozzle are hydrophobically treated to prevent ejected ink from wicking after ejection.

Provided is an inkjet printhead having a plurality of nozzle arrangements. Each arrangement includes a wafer substrate defining a nozzle and an ink chamber underneath the nozzle with an ink supply channel leading to said chamber, as well as a paddle arranged in the chamber. Each arrangement also includes an actuator arrangement positioned on the substrate and configured to actuate the paddle to eject ink from the nozzle, wherein the actuator and nozzle are hydrophobically treated to prevent ejected ink from wicking after ejection.
