Abstract

A medical telemetry system includes a first detection section for detecting a first vital sign signal using a first sensor, a transmitter 10 which modulates a signal detected by the first detection section and transmits the modulated signal by radio wave transmission, a receiver 30 which receives the detection signal that has been transmitted by radio wave transmission and demodulates the received signal, having a connector 32 for transmitting the demodulated signal to a vital sign signal input section of the vital sign signal monitor 20, wherein the connector 32 of the receiver is connectable with a commonly used vital sign signal input section of each of various types of vital sign signal monitors 20.

Claims

1. An electric circuit incorporated in a receiver configured to receive a vital sign signal which is detected by a sensor attached on a living body and transmitted from a transmitter by radio wave transmission, the electric circuit comprising:

a signal line adapted to transmit the received vital sign signal to a vital sign signal monitor;

a switch provided on the signal line;

a power supply section supplying power to the switch; and

a switch control section configured to deactivate the switch when a signal indicative of detachment of the sensor from the living body is detected;

wherein leakage current flowing from the switch is lower than a predetermined value when the power supplied from the power supply section is lower than a predetermined level.

2. The electric circuit according to claim 1, wherein the predetermined value is a threshold current value at which the vital sign signal monitor recognizes the detachment of the sensor from the living body.

5. The electric circuit according to claim 1, wherein the power supply section is a battery.

3. An electric circuit incorporated in a receiver configured to receive a vital sign signal which is detected by a sensor attached on a living body and transmitted from a transmitter by radio wave transmission, the electric circuit comprising:

a signal line adapted to transmit the received vital sign signal to a vital sign signal monitor;

a switch provided on the signal line;

a power supply section supplying power to the switch; and

a switch control section configured to deactivate the switch when a signal indicative of detachment of the sensor from the living body is detected;

wherein the switch is configured to be completely deactivated when the power supplied from the power supply section is lower than a predetermined level.

6. The electric circuit according to claim 3, wherein the power supply section is a battery.

7. The electric circuit according to claim 3, wherein the switch is a photo-MOS relay.

8. The electric circuit according to claim 3, wherein the predetermined level is a threshold current value at which the vital sign signal monitor recognizes the detachment of the sensor from the living body.

4. An electric circuit incorporated in a receiver configured to receive a vital sign signal which is detected by a sensor attached on a living body and transmitted from a transmitter by radio wave transmission, the electric circuit comprising:

a signal line adapted to transmit the received vital sign signal to a vital sign signal monitor;

photo-MOS relay provided on the signal line; and

a switch control section configured to deactivate the photo-MOS relay when a signal indicative of detachment of the sensor from the living body is detected.

9. The electric circuit according to claim 4, wherein the power supply section is a battery.
