An endoprosthesis, comprising a tubular member capable of maintaining patency of a bodily vessel, the tubular member comprising a mixture comprising a matrix having a first composition and a plurality of particles embedded within the matrix, the plurality of particles having a second composition, the first composition comprising less than about 25 weight percent chromium, less than about 7 weight percent molybdenum, from about 10 to about 35 weight percent nickel, iron, and platinum, the second composition being different from the first composition and being present from about 0.1 weight percent to about 5 weight percent of the mixture, wherein the second composition is selected from the group consisting of Pt—
