1. A system for providing analyte monitoring, comprising:
- a sensor configured for subcutaneous placement for detecting a plurality of analyte levels;
a transmitter unit configured for electrical communication with the sensor;
the transmitter unit configured to transmit a plurality of signals each associated with a respective one or more of the detected plurality of analyte levels;
a first receiver unit configured to receive a first portion of the transmitted plurality of signals from the transmitter unit; and
a second receiver unit configured to receive a second portion of the transmitted signals from the transmitter unit at least during an inactive state of the first receiver unit;
wherein the first receiver unit is further configured to provide time information associated with the inactive state.
