1. A device for sampling body fluid, comprising:

  • a main body defining a capillary channel;

    a lancet disposed within the capillary channel, the lancet having a proximal end and a distal tip, the lancet having a groove disposed axially along the lancet from the proximal end to the distal tip, the lancet and the main body defining an annular space dimensioned to draw fluid via capillary action; and

    a testing element in communication with the annular space, wherein the testing element is disposed within the groove of the lancet.
