1. Computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions stored therein, the computer-executable instructions being executed by one or more processors to implement a method of managing purchase orders, the method comprising:
- displaying a purchase order list, the purchase order list comprising a plurality of purchase order list items, each of the purchase order list items comprising an item price, an item quantity, a vendor identifier, and a purchase order status, wherein the purchase order status indicates a status of a purchase order associated with the respective purchase order list item;
displaying a first visual status indicator on the purchase order status of each purchase order list item for which a purchase order has been generated;
displaying a second visual status indicator on the purchase order status of each purchase order list item for which a purchase order has not been generated;
displaying a third visual status indicator on the purchase order status of each purchase order list item for which a cost for the purchase order list item exceeds a budget;
for each purchase order list item in which the cost for the purchase order list item exceeds the budget, allowing a user to request an authorization to generate the purchase order, wherein, for each purchase order list item for which authorization is obtained, the first visual status indicator on the purchase order status is displayed based on generating the purchase order; and
storing at least one of the purchase order list, one or more of the plurality of purchase order list items, and one or more of the purchase order statuses of the plurality of purchase order list items.
