1. A light emitting device comprising:

  • a base film formed over a substrate;

    a switching thin film transistor comprising a first semiconductor film and a gate electrode over the first semiconductor film with a gate insulating film interposed therebetween, the first semiconductor film being in contact with the base film and comprising a source region and a drain region;

    a driving thin film transistor over the substrate;

    a power supply line comprising a conductive film in contact with the gate insulating film;

    a first capacitor comprising a second semiconductor film and the conductive film over the second semiconductor film, the second semiconductor film being in contact with the base film, wherein the conductive film is connected to one of a source region and a drain region of the driving thin film transistor through a connection wiring;

    an insulating film over the switching thin film transistor and the first capacitor;

    a second capacitor comprising a wiring and a transparent conductive film, the wiring being electrically connected to one of the source region and the drain region of the switching thin film transistor, and the transparent conductive film being in contact with the insulating film; and

    a light emitting element comprising a pixel electrode and a light emitting layer formed over the pixel electrode, the pixel electrode being in contact with the insulating film.
