Abstract

A resonator device including an induction coil, a conductive member positioned adjacent the induction coil, and a dielectric layer between at least a portion of the induction coil and the conductive member to form a capacitor structure. In one embodiment, the conductive member can be a stent. In an alternative embodiment, the conductive member can be a conductive film. In an additional embodiment, the dielectric layer can have a dielectric constant that changes in a predetermined fashion between at least a portion of the induction coil and the conductive member to allow for a uniform current distribution in the resonator device. The dielectric layer can also include a flexible elongate body.

Claims

1. A resonator device, comprising:

an induction coil;

a conductive film positioned adjacent the induction coil; and

a dielectric layer configured as a flexible elongate tube having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the flexible elongate tube between the induction coil and the conductive film to form a capacitor structure.

2. The resonator device of claim 1, where the conductive film is on at least a portion of the first surface and the second surface of the flexible elongate tube and the induction coil is on the second surface of the flexible elongate tube.

The resonator device of claim 1, where the elongate tube has a first end and a second end, the conductive film on the second surface being at least partially contiguous with the conductive film on the first surface adjacent the first end, and the conductive film on the second surface being separated from the conductive film on the first surface adjacent the second end.

The resonator device of claim 1, where the induction coil includes a first end and a second end, the first end electrically coupled to the conductive film adjacent the first end of the elongate tube, and the second end electrically coupled to the conductive film adjacent the second end of the elongate tube.

5. The resonator device of claim 1, where the conductive film extends longitudinally along the second surface of the elongate tube.

6. The resonator device of claim 5, where the conductive film defines a gap that extends longitudinally along the second surface of the elongate tube.

The resonator device of claim 1, where the elongate tube includes a first end and a second end, the elongate tube having a first expandable support member adjacent the first end and a second expandable support member adjacent the second end, where the first and second expandable support members are electrically isolated from the induction coil.

8. The resonator device of claim 1, where the elongate tube is formed of a biodegradable polymer.

9. The resonator device of claim 1, where conductive nanoparticles form the induction coil.

10. The resonator device of claim 1, including a resistor in series with the induction coil, the conductive film and the capacitor structure.
