Method for making miniature hydro-power generation system
First Claim
1. A method of manufacturing a miniature hydro-generation system, the method comprising:
- providing a first hub and a second hub;
providing a plurality of paddles, each paddle including a base;
positioning the base of the paddles in a plurality of lugs disposed on at least one of the first hub or the second hub, or a combination thereof;
engaging the first hub and the second hub to form a housing that is rotatable and includes an interior cavity formed by the first hub and the second hub;
disposing at least one of a rotor or a stator of an electrical generator in the interior cavity of the housing, the rotor and the stator positioned in at least one of the first hub and the second hub; and
maintaining the base of paddles between the first hub and the second hub in a plurality of slots formed by the lugs so that the paddles form a ring and extend away from the housing.

Abstract
A liquid treatment system that may be self-powered includes a hydro-generator. A flow of liquid may be used to rotate the hydro-generator to generate electric power. The hydro-generator may include an outer housing and an inner housing. The inner housing may include a first hub removeably engaged with a second hub. During manufacture, a plurality of paddles may be replaceably engaged between the first hub and the second hub. Also during manufacture, an electrical generator may be disposed in the inner housing. In operation, a flow of liquid may strike the paddles causing the inner housing to rotate. During rotation of the housing, the electrical generator may produce electrical power.

6. A method of manufacturing a miniature hydro-generation system, the method comprising:
-
providing a first half of a housing that includes a first interior cavity; providing a second half of the housing that includes a second interior cavity; disposing at least one of a rotor or a stator of an electrical generator in at least one of the first cavity or the second cavity; providing a plurality of paddles formed in an unbroken ring with a paddle section of each of the paddles extending away from the unbroken ring; aligning the paddles between the first half of the housing and the second half of the housing; and joining the first half of the housing and the second half of the housing so that the unbroken ring is held by at least one of the first half of the housing or the second half of the housing and the paddle section of each of the paddles extends away from the housing. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13)

14. A method of manufacturing a miniature hydro-generation system, the method comprising:
-
assembling a plurality of paddles in a ring; providing a housing that is rotatable and includes a first half and a second half; including at least one of a stator and a rotor of a generator within a cavity formed within the housing with the first half and the second half; aligning the ring to be concentric with a central axis of the housing; adding an other paddle to the ring formed with the plurality of paddles when an inner diameter of the ring is less than an outer diameter of the housing; removing one of the paddles from the ring formed with the plurality of paddles when the inner diameter of the ring is greater than the outer diameter of the housing; and coupling the ring with the housing when the inner diameter of the ring and the outer diameter of the housing are in contact by coupling the ring to be fixedly held between the first half and the second half of the housing such that at least part of the paddles encircle the housing. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
