1. In a class-based data communications network comprising,a plurality of wireless two-way radio frequency (RF) data communication devices, each forming a node of the class-based data communications network and each including a memory having stored therein at least one class designation, wherein each of the wireless two-way RF data communication devices is configured to identify specific data in each wireless communication received by it and process the wireless communication if the specific data identified corresponds to its class designation, and not process the wireless communication if the specific data identified does not correspond to its class designation, whereby the class-based data communications network formed by the wireless two-way RF data communication devices is distinguished and separated from other proximate class-based data communications networks,a class-switching method comprising the step of,configuring at least a particular one of the wireless two-way RF data communication devices to adopt a different class designation of another wireless two-way RF data communication device of a proximate class-based data communications network such that the particular one of the wireless two-way RF data communication devices joins the proximate class-based data communications network.
