Electrochemical cell connector
First Claim
1. An electrochemical cell, the electrochemical cell adapted for electrical connection with a meter, the cell comprising a first insulating substrate carrying a first electrically conductive coating, a second insulating substrate carrying a second electrically conductive coating, and an insulating spacer layer disposed therebetween, the electrically conductive coatings being disposed to face each other in a spaced apart relationship, wherein an edge of the first insulating substrate carrying the first electrically conductive coating extends beyond an edge of the second insulating substrate carrying the second electrically conductive coating and beyond an edge of the insulating spacer layer, wherein the edge of the second insulating substrate carrying the second electrically conductive coating extends beyond the edge of the insulating spacer layer, and wherein the first insulating substrate carrying the first electrically conductive coating comprises an aperture in a portion of the first insulating substrate carrying the first electrically conductive coating that overhangs the edge of the insulating spacer, such that an area of the second electrically conductive coating is exposed so as to provide a surface for forming an electrical connection with a meter via the aperture.
