1. A fluid flow energy capture device for power generation comprising:

  • a rotor, said rotor being mounted to rotate around a longitudinal axis and said rotor having a plurality of rotor vanes, said rotor vanes having an inner aspect and said rotor vanes defining a rotor space between said inner aspects of said rotor vanes;

    said rotor being disposed to be in driving communication with an electrical generator;

    a top element, said top being at least partially above said rotor vanes;

    said top having an exit opening over said rotor, said exit opening being in fluid communication with said rotor space to allow an exit of fluid flow from said rotor space; and

    at least one horizontal vane, said horizontal vane being disposed in said exit opening and in said exit fluid flow.
