Method and apparatus for a small power source for an implantable device
First Claim
1. An apparatus, comprising:
- an implantable housing defining an implantable housing exterior shaped using modeled fluid dynamics;
electronics disposed in the implantable housing; and
a battery disposed in the implantable housing, the battery comprising;
a stack including at least one anode having a thickness greater than 1 micrometer and at least one substantially planar cathode having a thickness greater than 1 micrometer, wherein the stack defines a contoured exterior;
a battery housing enclosing the stack of anodes and cathodes, the battery housing defining a battery housing exterior that approximately conforms to at least some of the implantable housing exterior; and
terminals interconnecting the battery and the electronics,wherein the contoured exterior of the stack is shaped to conform to a contoured interior of the battery housing that approximately conforms to the battery housing exterior.
