1. A stent graft for insertion into a body vessel of a patient, said stent graft comprising:

  • a. a single hollow substantially cylindrical, radially expandable stent having a body, two open ends and defining a longitudinal axis there between, the body comprising a plurality of interconnected struts forming a plurality of substantially diamond shaped cells and the plurality of diamond shaped cells forming hoops, each hoop comprising nine diamond shaped cells, and substantially sinusoidal rings positioned between each of the hoops configured for connecting adjacent hoops to one another, each of the substantially sinusoidal rings being formed from fifty-four alternating struts, the stent being fabricated from a single metallic tube; and

    b. a graft member attached to the single hollow substantially cylindrical radially expandable stent, the single hollow substantially cylindrical radially expandable stent extending through and being covered by the entire length of the graft member, said graft member having a plurality of substantially longitudinally directed pleats disposed thereon.
