Patent Images

1. An electronic camera operated to photograph a subject, comprising:

  • an image-capturing unit that photographs a subject within a photographic image plane through a photographic optical system and generates image data;

    a first communication unit that exchanges address information indicating an address of an image server on a communication network, to which the image data are uploaded and identification information of the image data with a subject-side electronic instrument by communicating with the electronic instrument; and

    a second communication unit that uploads the image data to the image server on the communication network based upon the address information and the identification information,wherein;

    the first communication unit communicates with the subject-side electronic instrument when the subject is photographed by the image-capturing unit;

    the electronic camera can be set in a continuous shooting mode in which images of the subject are taken in rapid succession by the image-capturing unit; and

    the electronic camera further comprises a disallowing unit that prevents communication with the subject-side electronic instrument executed by the first communication unit while a continuous photographing operation is in progress in the continuous shooting mode.
