1. A switch, comprising:
- a switching transistor;
a switching resistor connected between a control terminal of the switching transistor and a switching control terminal, wherein a switching signal is received at the switching control terminal;
an accelerating element comprising a resistance smaller than a resistance of the switching resistor, the accelerating element being adapted to be connected in parallel to the switching resistor under the control of an accelerating control signal upon switching of the switching transistor until a voltage at the control terminal of the switching transistor has reached a predetermined value; and
an apparatus configured to generate the accelerating control signal depending on the switching signal received at the switching control terminal, such that the accelerating control signal switches on the accelerating element during a predetermined time period following a transition of the switching signal.
