Abstract
According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the corn variety designated CV146461. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CV146461, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CV146461 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing plants of variety CV146461 with plants of another variety, such as another inbred line. The invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of plants of variety CV146461.

21. A method of producing an inbred corn plant derived from the corn variety CV146461, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV146461 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10638, the method comprising the steps of:
-
(a) preparing a progeny plant derived from corn variety CV146461 by crossing a plant of the corn variety CV146461 with a corn plant of a second variety; (b) crossing the progeny plant with itself or a second plant to produce a seed of a progeny plant of a subsequent generation; (c) growing a progeny plant of a subsequent generation from said seed and crossing the progeny plant of a subsequent generation with itself or a second plant; and (d) repeating steps (b) and (c) for an additional 3-10 generations with sufficient inbreeding to produce an inbred corn plant derived from the corn variety CV146461.
