1. A location-based dual preference system for notifying a mobile user having an interactive wireless mobile device about a person whose profile includes at least one expressed favorite-people preference that corresponds to an explicit favorite people preference of the mobile user, the system comprising:

  • the interactive wireless mobile device which comprises;

    a GPS receiver for receiving a GPS signal and calculating a user location coordinate;

    an input/output device for receiving the explicit favorite people preference from the mobile user and displaying an information resource about the person;

    a transmitter for transmitting the explicit favorite people preference and the user location coordinate to a remote server; and

    the remote server system including a database storing the user location coordinate, a person location coordinate associated with the person, the explicit favorite people preference, and the expressed favorite-people preference of the person;

    a central processing unit calculating a separation distance using the user location coordinate and the person location coordinate, querying the database to determine if the favorite people preferences of the user and the person indicate a match and determining if the separation distance is less than a specific distance amount; and

    a notification system transmitting a notification to the interactive wireless mobile device when a match is determined and when the separation distance is less than a specific distance amount.
