1. A networked health-monitoring system, comprising:

  • a plurality of remote sites, each site of said plurality of remote sites including a device having (i) at least one display, (ii) a data management unit configured to facilitate collection of health-related data of an individual, (iii) a memory circuit, and (iv) stored program instructions for collecting said health-related data and generating information in response to said health-related data; and

    at least one central server connectable for communication with the device at each remote site of said plurality of remote sites wherein(A) said at least one central server is configured to (i) receive said health-related data from said device, (ii) analyze said health-related data and transmit said analysis of said health-related data to one or more computers remotely located from and in signal communication with (a) said at least one central server and (b) said device, said one or more computers corresponding to one or more health care professionals associated with said individual, and (iii) transmit at least one message for presentation on said at least one display and (iv) said at least one message is sent by said one or more health care professionals in response to said analysis of said health-related data and(B) (i) the data management unit is physically separate from the at least one display, (ii) the memory circuit and the display form a part of the device, (iii) the device comprises a handheld device, and (iv) the memory circuit comprises a program cartridge.
