1. An apparatus comprising:

  • a processor having a register to store a plurality of operating voltage information in separate locations within the register, each of the plurality of operating voltage information corresponding to an amount by which a supply voltage level at which the processor to operate is to be changed;

    a voltage regulator controller coupled to the processor, wherein the voltage regulator controller to receive at least a first operating voltage information and a second operating voltage information of the plurality of operating voltage information; and

    a voltage regulator coupled to the voltage regulator controller, the voltage regulator to perform dynamic voltage transition by dynamically adjusting an operating voltage of the processor from a first level set using the first operating voltage information to a second level by the amount indicated by the second operating voltage information, wherein the processor is operated at the first level and subsequently at the second level as indicated by the first and second operating voltage information, respectively, and as communicated by the voltage regulator.
