1. A game system for playing an electronic game, comprising:

  • a player game device for allowing a player to place a wager; and

    ,a game controller coupled to the player game device for playing the electronic game and establishing an outcome of the electronic game, the outcome of the electronic game including a payout according to a main pay table if a set of predetermined winning conditions has been achieved, the game controller further for simulating a keno game on the player device, the game controller, in simulating the keno game, allows a player to choose how many numbers are to be played in the simulated keno game and allows the player to select the chosen number of numbers, the game controller for selecting a simulation pay table for the simulated keno game from a set of simulation pay tables as a function of the player chosen number of numbers and the outcome of the electronic game, the game controller for selecting a set of keno winning numbers such that the selected simulation pay table of the simulated keno game establishes a simulated payout as a function of a number of matches between the keno winning numbers and the numbers selected by the player, the simulated payout of the keno game being equivalent to the payout of the electronic game.
