Abstract

The subject of the invention is a glass-, ceramic-vitroceramic based substrate (1) provided on at least part of at least one of its faces with a coating (3) with a photocatalytic property containing at least partially crystalline titanium oxide. It also relates to the applications of such a substrate and to its method of preparation.

Claims

1. A glass, ceramic or vitroceramic substrate coated with a layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide, and with a layer with thermal function between the substrate and the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide, wherein the layer with a thermal function is a low emissive layer, comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of indium oxide doped with ITO, tin oxide doped with fluorine or antimony, and zinc oxide doped with indium, fluorine or aluminum.

2. The coated substrate of claim 1, further comprising a layer forming a barrier to alkali metals.

3. The coated substrate of claim 2, wherein the layer forming a barrier to alkali metals comprises silicon oxide, silicon nitride, silicon oxynitride, silicon oxycarbide, aluminum oxide containing fluorine or aluminum nitride.

4. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the layer forming a barrier to alkali metals comprises Al₂O₃F.

5. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the photocatalytic titanium oxide is crystalline.

6. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the photocatalytic titanium oxide is in the anatase form.

7. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide has a thickness of 5 nm to 1 micron.

8. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide has a thickness of 5 nm to 100 nm.

9. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide has a thickness of 10 nm to 80 nm.

10. The coated substrate of claim 1, wherein the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide has a thickness of 20 nm to 50 nm.

11. A glazing comprising the coated substrate of claim 1.

12. A double glazing comprising the coated substrate of claim 1.

13. A method of producing the coated substrate of claim 1, comprising coating the substrate with the and the layer with thermal function between the substrate and the layer of photocatalytic titanium oxide.
