1. A method of producing an immunogenic composition, the method comprising:

  • introducing a purified preparation containing a polynucleotide encoding at least one polypeptide encoded by one or more open reading frames (ORFs) of ORFs 1-7 of a mystery swine disease virus wherein the polypeptide is one of more of the polypeptides selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO;

    SEQ ID NO;

    4;

    SEQ ID NO;

    5;

    SEQ ID NO;

    6;

    SEQ ID NO;

    7;

    SEQ ID NO;

    8 and SEQ ID NO;

    9, into a suitable host cell,culturing said suitable host cell; and

    isolating one of the following therefrom;

    a suitable host cell containing said polypeptide;

    viral protein;

    or viral polynucleic acid.
