1. A radio frequency identification (RFID) system comprises:
- an RFID reader including;
a reader processing module to encode outbound RFID data to produce outbound RFID encoded data and to decode inbound RFID encoded data to produce inbound RFID data;
an RFID transceiver coupled to convert the outbound RFID encoded data into an outbound RF RFID signal and to convert an inbound RF RFID signal into the inbound RFID encoded data; and
a reader radio frequency (RF) bus transceiver;
an RFID tag including;
a power recovery module coupled to produce a supply voltage from the outbound RF RFID signal and to produce a received RF RFID signal;
a tag processing module coupled to recover the outbound RFID data from the received RF RFID signal and to generate tag RFID data; and
transmit section coupled to convert the tag RFID data into the inbound RF RFID signal;
a network connection module coupled to provide connection to a network, wherein the network connection module includes a network connection RF bus transceiver, wherein the reader RF bus transceiver exchanges at least one of the inbound RFID data and the outbound RFID data with the network RF bus transceiver via an RF bus.

a processing module coupled to; encode outbound RF bus data to produce outbound RF bus encoded data; decode inbound RF bus encoded data to produce inbound RF bus data; encode tag inquiry data to produce encoded tag inquiry data; and decode encoded tag response data to produce tag response data; a transmitter section coupled to; convert the outbound RF bus encoded data into an outbound RF bus signal; and convert the encoded tag inquiry data into an outbound RF tag inquiry signal; and a receiver section coupled to; convert an inbound RF bus signal into the inbound RF bus encoded data; convert an inbound RF tag response signal into the encoded tag response data; wherein the receiver section comprises; a low noise amplifier coupled to amplify an inbound RF signal to produce an amplified inbound RF signal, wherein the inbound RF signal includes the inbound RF tag response signal or the inbound RF bus signal and the outbound RF tag inquiry signal; a block cancellation module coupled to receive the outbound RF tag inquiry signal from the transmitter section to produce a received RF tag inquiry signal and to substantially cancel the outbound RF tag inquiry signal from the amplified inbound RF signal using the received RF tag inquiry signal and to pass, substantially the inbound RF tag response signal or the inbound RF bus signal of the amplified inbound RF signal; a down-conversion module coupled to convert the inbound RF tag response signal into the encoded tag response data. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14)
