1. A method for allocating an amount associated with a transaction, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a first financial account issuer server for allocating the amount, a request to debit the amount from a first financial account having a first identifier, wherein the first financial account issuer server issued the first financial account, and wherein the request includes the amount and the first identifier;
verifying, by the first financial account issuer server, availability of the first amount in the first financial account;
acquiring, by the first financial account issuer server and from a database associated with the first identifier, an allocation rule associated with the first identifier, wherein the allocation rule is stored in association with the first identifier, and wherein the allocation rule includes first information to determine a first portion of the amount to be debited from the first financial account, second information to determine a second portion of the amount to be debited from a second financial account, and a second identifier associated with the second financial account;
debiting, by the first financial account issuer server and based upon the allocation rule, the first portion of the amount from the first financial account; and
allocating, based upon the allocation rule, the second portion of the amount to the second financial account having the second identifier, wherein a second financial account issuer server issued the second financial account, wherein the second financial account issuer server is different from the first financial account issuer server, and wherein the second financial account issuer server debits the second portion of the amount from the second financial account.

Abstract
A financial account issuer facilitating transactions between accounts is disclosed. The invention provides sellers with an irrevocable method of receiving funds from a purchaser and for improving purchaser willingness to transact with an unknown party. The invention also enables the allocation of a portion or all of a charge or loyalty points to different transaction accounts issued by different issuers, or to sub-accounts.

An article of manufacture including a non-transitory, tangible computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions that, in response to execution by a first financial account issuer server for allocating an amount associated with a transaction, cause the first financial account issuer server to perform operations comprising:

receiving, by the first financial account issuer server, a request to debit the amount from a first financial account having a first identifier, wherein the first financial account issuer server issued the first financial account, and wherein the request includes the amount and the first identifier; verifying, by the first financial account issuer server, availability of the first amount in the first financial account; acquiring, by the first financial account issuer server and from a database associated with the first identifier, an allocation rule associated with the first identifier, wherein the allocation rule is stored in association with the first identifier, and wherein the allocation rule includes first information to determine a first portion of the amount to be debited from the first financial account, second information to determine a second portion of the amount to be debited from a second financial account, and the second identifier associated with the second financial account; debiting, by the first financial account issuer server and based upon the allocation rule, the first portion of the amount from the first financial account; and allocating, based upon the allocation rule, the second portion of the amount to the second financial account having the second identifier, wherein a second financial account issuer server issued the second financial account, wherein the second financial account issuer server is different from the first financial account issuer server, and wherein the second financial account issuer server debits the second portion of the amount from the second financial account.
