1. An electronic communication device comprising:

  • a buffer configured to store user input characters for an electronic message; and

    a controller configured to transmit the stored user input characters over a wireless network prior to input completion of the electronic message when a pause in the input of characters exceeds a dynamically adjustable threshold time period,the controller further configured to dynamically adjust the threshold based on a typing speed of the user input characters.
