Visual prosthesis fitting
First Claim
1. A computer-operated system for visual stimulation comprising a display component, the display component having a graphical user interface configured to display a visual representation of an image to a visual field of a patient, and wherein the graphical user interface is suitable for providing user feedback and suitable for supporting a method for fitting a visual prosthesis having a plurality of electrodes the graphical user interface comprising:
- a first screen including means for selecting electrodes for visual stimulation, wherein selected electrodes for the visual stimulation create the visual representation displayed to the visual field of the patient; and
a second screen including a plurality of representations of threshold values within the visual representation of the visual field of the patient;
wherein the visual representation is displayed to the visual field of the patient and the plurality of electrodes are suitable to elicit perception of light.

Abstract
Methods and devices for fitting a visual prosthesis are described. In one of the methods, threshold levels and maximum levels for the electrodes of the prosthesis are determined and a map of brightness to electrode stimulation levels is later formed. A fitting system for a visual prosthesis is also discussed, together with a computer-operated system having a graphical user interface showing visual prosthesis diagnostic screens and visual prosthesis configuration screens.
