1. A method of centralizing secure transactions in a peer-to-peer network comprising:

  • receiving at a peer network server in the peer-to-peer network an order to purchase an item stored on a first computer system in the peer-to-peer network, where a shopper communicating with the first computer system created the order;

    receiving control of processing the order from the first computer system at the peer network server;

    establishing a secure transaction session between the peer network server and the shopper; and

    processing the order.
