1. A fluidic device containing a flow through chamber, said chamber comprising:

  • an upper wall and an opposing lower wall separated by a distance, one or more protrusions configured on at least one of said upper wall and said lower wall, the one or more protrusions successively reducing the distance between said upper wall and said lower wall,an inlet port,an outlet port, both ports are designed to allow a fluid to be treated in said chamber by flowing through said chamber,a fluid permeable, compressible matrix located in the chamber between said upper wall and said lower wall, and between said inlet port and said outlet port, said compressible matrix having a higher flow resistance at a lower value of the Degree of Compression compared to at a higher value of the Degree of Compression a plurality of flow paths leading from said inlet port to said outlet port through said matrix comprising shorter length flow paths and longer length flow paths, characterized in that said matrix is unequally compressed by said one or more protrusions, being more strongly compressed in the shorter length flow paths than in the longer length flow paths, such that the flow through times through said plurality of flow paths are at least partially equalized.
