1. An analyte monitoring device, comprising:
- a receiver unit for receiving one or more signals related to an analyte level detected by an electrochemical sensor, the receiver unit including a display to display an indication of the analyte level, wherein the electrochemical sensor includes a portion transcutaneously positioned under a skin surface and in fluid contact with an interstitial fluid to continuously monitor the analyte level over a predetermined time period and to detect the one or more signals related to the analyte level; and
furtherwherein the receiver unit includes a signal processing algorithm to process the received one or more signals and to display the indication of the analyte level over the predetermined time period without confirming the accuracy level of the received one or more signals detected by the electrochemical sensor using an adjunctive measurement, wherein the received one or more signals from the electrochemical sensor has a Clarke Error Grid accuracy and a Consensus Error Grid accuracy of at least 80% within zone A and zone B.
