Abstract

A method of providing an undisplayed outcome of an electronic device has been developed. First a wager is received from a player and an electronic outcome is generated. The outcome is not displayed to the player. A cashless payout is generated for the electronic outcome. The outcome is displayed according to the cashless payout.

Claims

1. A method of electronic gaming, comprising:

receiving a wager from a player;

receiving an electronic input via an electronic gaming device that an outcome for the wager is not be displayed to the player until a cashless payout for the outcome containing outcome information is generated;

after receiving the electronic input for the player, electronically generating an outcome of the wager where the outcome is undisplayed to the player;

generating the cashless payout for the previously generated outcome; and

displaying the outcome to the player according to the cashless payout.

2. The method of claim 1, where a plurality of wagers are received from the player.

3. The method of claim 2, where the cashless payout reflects the balance of the outcomes of the plurality of wagers.

4. The method of claim 1, where the outcome is displayed by an outcome display device.

5. The method of claim 4, where the cashless payout is electronically transmitted to the outcome display device.

6. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device simulates the play of the electronic gaming device.

7. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a personal computer.

8. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a cellular telephone.

9. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a video game platform.

10. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a personal digital assistant device.

11. The method of claim 5, where the outcome is displayed on an internet website.

12. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises an interactive television.

13. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a handheld video game platform.

14. The method of claim 5, where the outcome display device comprises a custom video game platform.

15. The method of claim 5, where the cashless payout is transmitted over a network.

16. The method of claim 15, where the network comprises the internet.

17. The method of claim 15, where the network comprises a LAN.

18. The method of claim 15, where the network comprises a WAN.

19. The method of claim 15, where the network comprises an intranet.

20. The method of claim 15, where the network comprises a wireless network.

step for receiving a wager from a player;

after the step for receiving an electronic input, step for electronically generating an outcome of the wager where the outcome is undisplayed to the player;

step for generating the cashless payout for the previously generated outcome; and

step for displaying the outcome to the player according to the cashless payout.

50. The method of claim 49, where the cashless payout comprises electronic mail.

51. The method of claim 49, where the cashless payout comprises an email attachment.

52. The method of claim 49, where the undisplayed gaming outcome is generated by a random number generator.

53. The method of claim 49, where the wager comprises points from a player'"'"'s account.

54. The method of claim 49, where the cashless payout comprises points to a player'"'"'s account.

55. The method of claim 49, where the cashless payout comprises digital memory.
