1. A method for delivering a drug-releasing implant into a paranasal sinus cavity comprising:

  • a) creating access to the paranasal sinus cavity with a delivery device loaded with the drug-releasing implant; and

    b) delivering the drug-releasing implant into the paranasal sinus cavity,wherein the drug-releasing implant comprises a therapeutic amount of an active agent for the treatment of sinusitis and wherein the drug-releasing implant has a first delivery configuration and a second configuration, different from the first, having a viscosity that substantially prevents clearance of the implant from the paranasal sinus cavity.
