1. A method for sending personal information to a decentralized personal information aggregator based on an identifier, the method comprising:

  • (a) receiving, by a local system controlled by a third party, the identifier from a portable identification device in possession of a user and in proximity to the local system, the portable identification device associated with the decentralized personal information aggregator, wherein the decentralized personal information aggregator is remote from both the portable identification device and the local system and wherein the user is in control of the decentralized personal information aggregator;

    (b) determining, from the identifier, a network address associated with the decentralized personal information aggregator;

    (c) identifying the decentralized personal information aggregator based on at least the network address, wherein information stored in the decentralized personal information aggregator is under the control of the user and comprises at least two disparate types of data associated with the user;

    (d) requesting authorization from the decentralized personal information aggregator to send one or more data feeds comprising personal information to the decentralized personal information aggregator;

    (e) receiving, by the local system, via the decentralized personal information aggregator, explicit authorization from the user to send the one or more data feeds comprising personal information to the decentralized personal information aggregator; and

    (f) sending, by the local system, the authorized data feeds to the decentralized personal information aggregator.
