1. A method for monitoring a content delivery network, comprising:
- obtaining data from devices within the network;
organizing the data into hierarchically accessible tiers; and
displaying at least one of content distribution information, content resolution information, and streaming media information graphically mapped to the network in relation to geographic locations using at least part of the data at one of the hierarchically accessible tiers;
whereinthe hierarchically accessible tiers includea) a site tier including a map of geographic locations of those devices that are potential content sources in the network;
b) a service tier including a map of content-based relationships among the content sources; and
c) an operations tier including a map of characteristics of the content sources and characteristics of relationships between the content sources and content in the network.

Abstract
In accordance with exemplary embodiments, a method for monitoring a content delivery network includes obtaining data from devices within the network, organizing the data into hierarchically accessible tiers, and displaying at least part of the data at one of the hierarchal tiers, wherein the hierarchical tiers include a) a site tier including a map comprising ones of the devices that are potential content sources in the network, b) a service tier including a map comprising content-based relationships between the devices, and c) an operations tier including a map comprising characteristics of the devices and characteristics of relationships between the devices and content in the network.
