1. An injection device comprising:

  • an accommodating device for accommodating a substance to be delivered, the accommodating device insertable into and displaceable relative to the injection device;

    an adjusting element for adjusting a dose to be administered from the injection device, wherein the adjusting element has an initial position in which an external face of the adjusting element is at least partially in an interior of the injection device such that a user is substantially prevented from accessing the external face of the adjusting element to adjust the dose; and

    a coupling element for coupling the accommodating device to the adjusting element so that, when the accommodating device is inserted into the injection device, the coupling element moves the adjusting element from the initial position in a direction opposite a dispensing direction, and when the accommodating device is arranged in the injection device such that the substance can be delivered from the accommodating device, the adjustment element moves to a dose setting position in which the external face of the adjusting element is at least partially out of the interior of the injection device such that the user can access the external face of the adjusting element to adjust the dose to be administered and can push the adjusting element in the dispensing direction to deliver the dose.
