A method for monitoring a cardiovascular condition in a subject over time, wherein said cardiovascular condition is characterized by the presence of increased serum levels of soluble Fit-1 polypeptide, said method comprising determining levels of secreted Fit-1 polypeptide in a plurality of biological samples comprising serum obtained from the subject over time.
- 20. A method for monitoring a cardiovascular condition selected from the group consisting of myocardial infarction, stroke, arteriosclerosis, and heart failure in a subject over time, said method comprising determining levels of secreted Fit-1 polypeptide in a plurality of biological samples comprising serum obtained from the subject over time.
