1. A method of detecting the presence or absence of one or more whipworm antigens in a sample, the method comprising:

  • (a) contacting a sample from a mammal with one or more antibodies that can specifically bind to a polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO;

    4, SEQ ID NO;

    5, SEQ ID NO;

    6, SEQ ID NO;

    7 SEQ ID NO;

    8 or SEQ ID NO;

    9;

    (b) forming antibody polypeptide complexes in the presence of the polypeptide if any, in the sample; and

    (c) detecting the presence or absence of the antibody-polypeptides complexes, if any.
