1. A mounting bracket for mounting a traffic control device to a first elongate support having a longitudinal axis, wherein the traffic control device comprises a second elongate support having a longitudinal axis, the mounting bracket comprising:

  • a first clamp removably attachable to the first support, the first clamp comprising;

    a first clamp body having a longitudinal axis, a first end, a second end, and a mid-portion therebetween, wherein the first clamp body comprises a front face and rear face, the rear face shaped to engage the first elongate support longitudinally so that the longitudinal axis of the first clamp body is generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the first elongate support; and

    first, second, and third elongate connectors, each sized to encircle the first support, the first connectable to the first clamp body near the first end, the second connector connectable to the first clamp body near the second end, and the third connector connectable to the first clamp body on the mid-portion;

    a second clamp removably attachable to the second elongate support, the second clamp comprising;

    a second clamp body having a longitudinal axis and comprising a front face and a rear face, wherein the front face is shaped to engage the second support longitudinally so that the longitudinal axis of the second clamp body is generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the first elongate support;

    at least one connector sized to attach the second clamp body to the second support;

    an adapter plate interposable between the front face of the first clamp body and the rear face of the second clamp body, wherein the adapter plate is attachable to the first clamp body and the second clamp body, wherein the adapter plate is adjustably attachable to at least one of the first clamp body and second clamp body so that the second clamp body can be rotated relative to the first clamp body at least about 90 degrees.
