1. A method of transmission of an attribute in a wireless communication system, comprising:

  • generating a SetManagementSameChannelParameters attribute comprising;

    an 8 bit Length field, wherein the Length field indicates a length of the complex attribute excluding the Length field;

    an 8 bit AttributeID field;

    a 6 bit PilotAdd field, wherein the PilotAdd field is used to trigger a PilotReport in a Connected State used at a value which is −

    0.5 decibels (dB) times a value of the PilotAdd field and is set to a pilot detection threshold, expressed as an unsigned binary number equal to a function of Ec and Io;

    a 6 bit PilotCompare field, wherein the PilotCompare field is expressed as a 2'"'"'s compliment number set to a threshold Candidate Set pilot to Active Set pilot ratio, in units of 0.5 dB, and a PilotReport message is transmitted if a strength of a pilot in a Candidate Set exceeds a strength of a pilot in an Active Set by a value of the PilotCompare field;

    a 6 bit PilotDrop field, wherein the PilotDrop field is used to start a PilotDrop timer for a pilot in the Active Set or the Candidate set used at a value −

    0.5 dB times a value of the PilotDrop field and field is set to pilot drop threshold expressed as an unsigned binary number equal to a function of Ec and Io;

    a 4 bit PilotDropTimer field;

    a 1 bit DynamicThresholds field;

    a 0 bit or 6 bit SoftSlope field, wherein the SoftSlope field is set to an unsigned binary number, which is used in an inequality criterion for adding a pilot to the Active Set or dropping a pilot from the Active Set, the AddIntercept field is set to a 2'"'"'s compliment signed binary number in units of dB;

    a 0 bit or 6 bit AddIntercept field;

    a 0 bit or 6 bit DropIntercept field, the DropIntercept field is set to a 2'"'"'s compliment signed binary number in units of dB; and

    a 4 bit NeighborMaxAge field, wherein the NeighborMaxAge field is set to a maximum AGE value beyond which members from a Neighbor Set are dropped; and

    transmitting the SetManagementSameChannelParameters attribute over an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication link.
