1. A peripheral configured to be used with a data processing system, the peripheral comprising:

  • an interface to couple the peripheral to the data processing system with the peripheral being external and separate from the data processing system;

    at least one sensor to sense a user of the peripheral;

    a processor coupled to the interface and to the at least one sensor, the processor configuring the peripheral based on determining whether to use the peripheral for a phone call communicated through the data processing system in response to data from the at least one sensor and wherein the peripheral comprises at least one of an input device, to provide an input to the data processing system, and an output device, to provide an output from the data processing system.
