1. A vacuum cleaner comprising:

  • an inlet for dirty air;

    an outlet for clean air;

    a first filter located in a removable dust collection chamber in fluid communication between said inlet and said outlet;

    a first motor;

    a fan driven by said first motor for moving air from said inlet through said first filter to said outlet;

    an electrical power supply for supplying power to said motor;

    a second motor secured to and removable with the dust collection chamber, the second motor capable of actuating a filter cleaning mechanism for removing dirt from the first filter;

    activation of said filter cleaning mechanism is operatively associated with an on/off switch having a first state that turns on said first motor and a second state that turns off said first motor.
