Signal processing method in MIMO system and apparatus thereof
First Claim
1. An apparatus for transmitting data using a plurality of antennas in a mobile communication system, the apparatus comprising:
- a feedback signal reception unit receiving channel status information for each of the plurality of antennas from a receiving side;
a data block segmentation unit segmenting a first data block into at least two second data blocks;
a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) attachment unit attaching a CRC to each of the at least two second data blocks and dummy bits; and
a data block allocation unit allocating each of the at least two second data blocks with the attached CRC and the dummy bits with the attached CRC to the plurality of antennas based on the received channel status information, wherein each of the at least two second data blocks with the attached CRC is allocated to an antenna having good channel status and only the dummy bits with the attached CRC are allocated to an antenna having bad channel status, wherein the dummy bits are predefined between the apparatus and the receiving side, and wherein the channel status information is a positive acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative acknowledgement (NACK) determined by the receiving side independently for each of the plurality of antennas through which each of the at least two second data blocks and the dummy bits has been transmitted,wherein each of the plurality of antennas transmits the allocated second data block with the attached CRC or the dummy bits with the attached CRC.

Abstract
Disclosed is a signal processing method and apparatus in MIMO system. In a mobile communication system having a plurality of transmitting antennas, the present invention includes the steps of receiving a feedback signal including status information of at least one channel, segmenting one of the first data blocks to segment into at least one or more of the second data blocks, attaching a CRC to each of the at least one or more of the second data blocks, allocating the at least one or more second data blocks to a plurality of the transmitting antennas, respectively, and transmitting the at least one or more of the second data blocks. In a mobile communication system having a plurality of receiving antennas, the present invention includes the steps of receiving at least one data block including a CRC or dummy bits, acquiring channel status information using the CRC or dummy bits, and transmitting the channel status information.
