    a display configured to present a hyperlink, a selection of said hyperlink causing a communication with a server over the digital communication channel, a series of communications with the server defining a state of a communication session;

    at least one memory configured to store a user'"'"'s preferences and at least a portion of the information defining the state of the communication session;

    at least one processor configured to retrieve the user'"'"'s preferences, and to initiate a voice communication with the user, through a communications channel selected from a plurality of different types of communications channels, in dependence on both the user'"'"'s preferences and the state of the communication session.
