1. A method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescence device, comprising:

  • preparing a front substrate and a rear substrate having an organic electroluminescence element comprising a first electrode, an organic layer and a second electrode;

    forming a transparent nanoporous oxide layer in an internal space formed by the rear substrate and the front substrate, wherein the step of forming the transparent nanoporous oxide layer comprises dispersing nanoporous oxide particles in a solvent and optionally acid to give a sol-state composition, coating the sol-state composition, and drying and heat-treating the coated composition;

    applying a sealant on a peripheral portion of the organic electroluminescence element of at least one of the rear substrate and the front substrate; and

    coupling the rear substrate and the front substrate to each other via the sealant to seal said internal space.
