Abstract

An article of manufacture includes an object having an airfoil core shape. The airfoil core shape has a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in TABLE 1 where X and Y are distances in inches which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z in inches. The profile sections at the Z distances are joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil core shape.

Claims

1. An article of manufacture comprising:

an object having an airfoil core shape, the airfoil core shape having a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in TABLE 1, and wherein X and Y are distances in inches which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z in inches, the profile sections at the Z distances being joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil core shape.

2. The article of manufacture according to claim 1, wherein the object comprises a core shape for a first stage turbine nozzle.

3. The article of manufacture according to claim 1, wherein the nominal profile lies within an envelope within 0.060 inches and −

0.060 inches in a direction normal to any of the airfoil profile sections.

4. The article of manufacture according to claim 1, wherein the object comprises an airfoil.

5. A turbine comprising:

at least one turbine stage including a plurality of articles of manufacture, each of the plurality of articles of manufacture including an airfoil core shape, the airfoil core shape having a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in TABLE 1, and wherein X and Y are distances in inches which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z in inches, the profile sections at the Z distances being joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil core shape.

6. The turbine according to claim 5, wherein each of the articles of manufacture comprises a core shape for a first stage turbine nozzle.

7. The turbine according to claim 5, wherein the nominal profile lies within an envelope within 0.060 inches and −

0.060 inches in a direction normal to any of the airfoil profile sections.
