1. A method for delivering an agent to a target site within tissue comprising:

  • advancing an elongate member into tissue containing the target site, the elongate member comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and a delivery lumen extending there between, and one or more outlet ports disposed on the distal end and communicating with the delivery lumen, the one or more outlet ports being sealed with respective seals to prevent leakage of fluid from the delivery lumen out the distal end of the elongate member;

    applying heat to melt the respective seal(s) and unseal the one or more outlet ports; and

    delivering the agent through the delivery lumen and out the one or more outlet ports.
